Spanky

Spanky's role in Beginner's Luck is vey interesting. Usually he is the wise cracking leader of the gang.. Not so here at all. When he hears his mom has arranged for him to go on stage he is shocked and does say What's next . He doesn't want to be there and is overjoyed that the gang came up with the sabotage plan he is still going through with it. He complains to Daisey that he doesn't want to win and what a gallant gentleman he is when she failed to win the prize and he offers to win it for her. He knows he must now stop the gangs plans and thinks he did. He has turned a complete 180 and now wants to win the prize like his mother wants. When he goes on stage he gives the gang some stare down when he finds out their attacking him. He waves off the signals from his mother telling him to come off the stage. He's trying to win for the little girl. At one point in his act his visor falls and he struggles trying to raise it. Even as his mom is trying to get him off with the pole he has no idea who is back there with that pole. When he finally pulls his visor up he is staring at his mother who is caught with her dress on the curtain and he watches as it his hauled up higher and the ripped off her . He is the only one coming to his mother's aid. He rushes the prop into place as fast as he could to save his mom from the audience's eyes. When he sees the spectactle that has been made of his mother his eyes bulge in total disbelief and it's such a shock that his helmet top spins! Show less «
