Top of the bill in criminal cases, he seems to be forced to accept (boring) civil cases, untill he is presented with a challenging murder case which seems to be against all oddsm when the wife of the defendant turns witness for the prosecution. He is tough, rough, smart, cunning and has no room for empathy. He is sure that he has lost the case, but what is brought to his aide, is actually a sign that he can be outsmarted. Endearing in his endurance of the cruel care of his nurse, charming in his boyish defiance of what is good for his health. Inspires loyalty from people who could easily hate him.
