Mary Kane

The mother of Charles Foster Kane in the great American film Citizen Kane (1941).She appears briefly in the beginning when she gives her son, Charles, to Thatcher, a banker, to secure his future and remove him from the harmful influence of her (possibly) abusive husband. The money from a mine she owns the rights to helps finance this.
