Skyler Joy was born in Evanston, Illinois & raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. She has one older brother, Westley Smith and many she considers sisters, who were foster children in her home growing up. Since Skyler was five years old she has had a passion for acting. She saw her older brother in the production of Annie, and knew that's what she wanted to do. Her uncle Peter Jacobson inspired her to pursue film & television a few years later, after seeing him on television.
