Paul Braaten was born December 8th, 1979 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was raised in Vancouver, Fort McMurray and Red Deer, Alberta. For 10 years, Braaten grew up on a Farm, raising Black Angus Cattle, Chickens, Turkey's, Goats and Dogs. He is the middle son with Brothers Named Aaron and Matthew. His Brother Aaron Holds his Masters in Political Science and His Younger Brother is a Chartered Accountant. His Father was a Vancouver Fire Fighter for 15 years before getting involved with Pipeline Construction. His Mother was a Teacher before becoming a Grandmother to Paul's Sons, Paul Jr. and Noah.Paul has a son Named Eli (aged 20 months), the product of a One night Stand He had after separating from His long Time love, Loredana. He is constantly in and out of the Alberta Family Court Rooms dealing with Eli's Mother.Braaten was extremely grateful and honored to be cast in His Role of "John Hainey" in "Extremity". While shooting a Commercial in Canmore in December, Paul Caught wind of the Upcoming DiBlasi Movie Production and set his sights on landing a role. ''Oh Boy, When I got the call from DiBlasi, I was over the moon man, any time You have a opportunity to work for guys like DiBlasi and David Bond, You know your rubbing shoulders with Heavy weights'' Braaten was quoted as saying while giving an interview to Western Canadian E News."The Set for Extremity was Fantastic, Really Creepy, Could almost feel the ghosts in the De-Commissioned Pysche Ward floating around watching me and the rest of the Crew, Just knowing the place we were shooting in, very, very scary place. It was an absolute pleasure in getting to know everyone on set, from the Boom Hand to the Producers to the Director to the D.O.P. , just an awesome Motely Crew of People with amazing talent to exude in the day to day operations of making sure this Film is as Good as Its going to get. My prediction is this Film is set to become a Cult Classic, and will be a huge success after its release within the Horror Genre."Braaten made such an Impression on DiBlasi and Bond, He was given the opportunity to tackle a gritty Supporting Role in their Next Big Movie shoot in Iceland later on this summer.Next on the agenda for Paul, has him Returning to his Day to Day job as a Health and Safety Advisor for Major Construction Projects in the Calgary, Alberta area."I'm really pumped that Bond and DiBlasi see Me as a Contributor to their next big ticket movie being shot over seas, I cant wait to start studying my dialogue for this shoot, its gonna be Awesome! Paul was also recently cast as an Actor for his Second National TV Commercial in two months, (Dairy Farmers Of Canada) acting as a Hockey Player Drinking milk. This was a big budget Shoot and during the filming, Paul suffered a setback of frostbitten Toes, but managed to finish the commercial shoot. One of Paul's Co-Stars on the commercial ended up losing several of his Toes during the -30 C Winter Shoot. As devastating as that was, there is reason to believe the Co Star will eventually be able to walk again normally.This Commercial is currently being played on Global TV, TSN and the History Channel amongst many other Channels on Cable TV. This gives Him the platform to now move into an ACTRA Apprentice Role. Paul also starred in a "Princess Auto"Commercial pictured Driving a Monster Truck.Braaten gave a local reporter a recent interview, and was quoted as Saying "Well Ya, its been a long arduous trail thru the Non Union World of Indie Productions, But I am so grateful for running into Rookie Director Patrick Strevens and being included in his Hard Hitting Indie Movie "Driftwood" , Strevens believed in Me giving me that supporting role as Rob Johnson and I will always be appreciative of the Inclusion in the Movie. In November of 2016, Braaten was cast as "Brad" in Veteran Director Tom Logan's TV Pilot, called "Karma". This Pilot may be picked up in 2017 by a Network. Braaten was thankful for the opportunity to work with a solid cast of People.Paul was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia on December 8th, 1979 and always dreamed of playing in the NHL, making it all the Way to the East Coast Hockey League suiting up for the Long Beach Ice Dogs in 2003. Paul is a University of Fredericton Graduate with a degree in Occupational Health and Safety Processes in 2009. After spending ten years working in the Oilfields of Northern Canada, Paul decided to refocus his attention towards acting. There was a Recession in Alberta as far as Oil Project Work goes, so the timing worked out in Favour of PaulBraaten is a former Pro Hockey Player with the Long Beach Ice Dogs, and also suited up for the Burnaby Bulldogs in the BCHL as a Junior Hockey Player. He helped the West Sydney Ice Dogs capture the 2004 League Championship in the Australian Pro Hockey League in 2005 before turning his attention towards raising a family in Canada.Braat's as they call him, also starred in Nomadic Pictures Gemini Award winning TV Series (Hooked Up - 2004). Paul was instrumental in the Reality show's Gemini Award Nomication as He was in all 6 (1 hour Episodes) and this TV Show which appeared on A Channel and Toronto 1.Paul has two young sons, Paul Jr. and Noah. He just recently found out thru a DNA Test that He has another young son, Named Eli.Paul landed a supporting role as in Patrick Streven's Movie "Driftwood" (2016) as "Rob Johnson" an angry man who's dedication towards his cheating wife, ends with a culmination of violence in this hard hitting movie which will be screened at Film Festivals in Canada, USA and Mexico in the fall of 2016.Braaten recently finished starring in a Commercial for Joe Media, as a Monster Truck Driver for Princess AutoIn the summer of 2016 Braaten was picked up as a Hitman in the Short "Pocket Full of Nuts" Directed by Dave Prokopchuk. This Short will be coming to the screen in the spring of 2017. "Yes, was awesome working with Dave and the star Garry Maclean in this amazing little Short, I was really happy to work on that Project because Both Dave and Garry are really detailed orientated and took their time with Post Production to ensure all the I's were Dotted, and T's crossed. Braaten appeared in "Hell On Wheels" Season 5 (SOC) as a Mormon Guard pictured dragging Brigham Young into the office after he was stabbed, then seen restraining Cullen Bohannon as Cullen try's to break thru Braaten guarding the office door. He appears in one of the last 3 Episodes of HOW in the history of the show. He was recently quoted at stating " I had many conversations with Anson Mount while we were shooting about how the scene should play out, and in between Anson doing 30 push ups prior to each take, he took the time to explain various acting skill sets to get your self jacked up for scenes, and push ups is just one of them, Anson Told me lots of stories on how Him and Common Developed their relationship in the Gym working out in Season 1.Braaten also appeared in the TV Series "Hug O Gram" by Todd Kipp back in 2015.Paul landed a speaking role in the movie "Chokehold" which stars Locklyn Munroe. Braaten plays a MMA Referee in the movie. Braaten's main objective is to hone his craft, and continue to gain experience and significant acting roles. His long term goals are to appear in LA Based Actra Movies once he joins the union.
