Jaclyn Kiah Marlan is an actress, known for Greater (2014) and Valley Inn (2013)Jaclyn got her start in the industry when she was very young. She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and asked to be put into acting, singing and dance classes at the young age of 7. At age 12 she landed a spot in the touring Broadway production of "Bye Bye Birdie" (1998) and had the chance to perform on stage with Rue McClanahan most well known for her role in "The Golden Girls." Jeff Trachta from "Bold and the Beautiful" and Lenora Nemetz, Broadway nominated professional.Jaclyn spent a lot of her time training as well getting a lot of her first professional stage experience through Pittsburgh's Civic Light Opera, Pittsburgh Musical Theater and Center for Theater Arts. The actress has performed in elite choirs and countless musicals in the surrounding area, in favorite roles such as Marty in "Grease" (2001) Eponine in "Les Miserables", (2005) Roxy Hart in "Chicago", (2008) Liesel in the "The Sound of Music", (2009)She is classically trained in opera and classical voice, and has had over 10 years of training in musical theater. In her passion for singing she very much enjoyed her time with Civic Light Opera's traveling Singers Chorus, that often performed on Pittsburgh's legendary "Light up night" and sang The Star Spangled banner as a group and solo at many sporting events throughout the city including Heinz Stadium and PNC Park. Also the "Three Rivers Choir" which is known for traveling and competing regionally and making frequent stops to perform at Disneyworld and Disnneyland.As well as performing she has also been involved in modeling for department stores and local boutiques for Pittsburgh's Docherty Agency and has appeared in web and TV commercials.Jaclyn's biggest and most exciting venture has been to move from a long time on stages to feature films on the silver screen after being cast as a principle role in the independent feature "Valley Inn" (2013) starring Joey Lauren Adams, David Lansbury and Natalie Canerday, as well as being cast in "Greater: The Brandon Burlsworth Story" starring Neal McDonough, Michael Parks and Leslie Easterbrook (2013) both in the same summer.Jaclyn loves to write, read, kayak, water ski, horseback ride and is also very passionate for casting as well, where she had the opportunity in 2012 to cast for NBC.Whether it's performing or behind the scenes she is passionate about the industry in all aspects.
