Donovan's family consists of his mother (Casey) who is a disabled veteran, older siblings Amber(25) and Gavin(23).Donovan got his start in The Saturday Knights music video "Count It Off" and worked occasionally as a model and extra in music videos, commercials and films for a number of years. After his family fell on hard times and faced homelessness Donovan created Toil and Trouble Bath. Owning his own bath product company and donating to organizations fighting homelessness thrust Donovan into the news. The Huffington Post wrote about him and word spread of his efforts to help others. Russell Simmons titled Donovan a "Socialpreneur" for his charitable business practice. A quick Google search of "Donovan Smith Soap" will bring a list of interviews was with MSNBC with Tamron Hall, PBS, The Queen Latifah Show, The Huffington Post, People Magazine and a few international newspapers.Donovan has won numerous awards for his advocacy for homelessness such as the national Good Deed Award from the American Legion Auxilliary, the Mayor and City of Albuquerque awarded him their Good Samaritan Award and he the 2016 McDonalds 365Black Community Choice Youth Award winner.Donovan most recently worked on feature film "Good Kill" with Ethan Hawke and TV show "The Messengers" as an extra.
