Chad Whitson is an actor and writer based in Los Angeles, CA. He has written two dramatic screenplays, "The Lion of Tombstone" and "Thicker Than Blood" and has worked in the industry as an actor, writer, and producer. He recently played "A.P. Carter" in the film documentary "Born in Bristol" (2017) which chronicles the 1927 Bristol Sessions known as "the big bang of country music." Chad worked on the set of "Man on the Moon," as a stand in for Jim Carrey (Director, Milos Forman), played the lead, "Raffi" in the movie "High Point" (2000), Epic Films, and worked on the major motion picture "We Are Marshall" (2006) starring Matthew McConaughey (Mc G, Director). Chad became the Western icon, "Wyatt Earp" for "Huckleberry Productions" in Tombstone, Arizona.Chad's career in acting began as a child performing for local events and continued throughout his teen performing in theater productions. During his adolescence the family moved often. This ultimately stimulated his imagination and produced an uncanny ability to adapt and instantly become a character. Finding an escape by walking miles in someone else's shoes and becoming them had grabbed a stronghold in Chad. During high school he was a regular performer and entertainer (singing comic and impersonator) at "The Chez Funk Club" in his hometown of Brooksville, Florida. He received rave reviews as the lead "Doc Holliday" at "The Hernando Performing Arts Theatre" and also worked for the Disney Company. A chance moment to entertain a group of children from the "Make A Wish Foundation" was life-defining, inspiring Chad to seriously pursue his acting career. Chad is an avid writer of films and continues to pursue his acting in independent and major motion features today. "Acting in movies has given me the opportunity to become someone's hero. To make a difference and move people through their hearts and souls in what I consider the medium that records and captures raw emotion as it happens so that it can constantly move and inspire someone forever!"
